With the passing of her grandmother, Dr Matar turned her grief into inspiration. Following in her grandmother’s footsteps, she dedicated her career to medicine. Seeing her challenges as opportunities, she worked relentlessly to convince even the remotest communities of the importance of screening and preventative care.
