Saeed Al Memari, whose willpower outclimbs mountains

Meet Saeed Al Memari, a mountaineer who measures triumph not only in summits, but in the lives he inspires. While global firsts prove his altitude, local impact proves his attitude- to live every day with courage, curiosity, and purpose.

A map of peaks, a mission of purpose

With over 100 peaks to his name, Saeed has proven his grit on the world’s toughest climbs. He became the first Emirati to summit K2 and the first Arab to complete the “Explorers Grand Slam” and conquer Kanchenjunga. After scaling Mount Everest in 2011, he ambitiously returned the following year to test himself on the more demanding Tibetan north route, and succeeded. From all the peaks he has conquered to both the North and South Poles, every ascent reflects Saeed’s endurance, resilience, and relentless pursuit of new horizons.

Carving trails, inspiring futures

Beyond records and summits, Saeed’s true legacy lies in his mission to inspire those around him. He founded the Fujairah Adventure Centre, transforming his hometown into a hub for exploration and growth. With over 60 trails, bike parks, and outdoor zones, he created spaces where youth can test their limits, build resilience, and rise to their true potential. For Saeed, every new path is an invitation for the next generation to climb their own mountains and pursue their dreams.
