Born with a severe spinal condition, Zeiad turned to swimming which became his prescription for a better life. Despite the initial challenges of limited lower body mobility, Zeiad, a 20-year-old business management student, fearlessly took on the task. He set his eyes on conquering a 50-metre swim, a pivotal moment that transformed his life forever. He shattered records in Glasgow, which earned him a place in the prestigious London World Paralympic Championship 2019. Since then, there has been no looking back on Zeiad.
Zeiad’s journey so far is filled with milestones. After qualifying and competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, he became an African record holder and a World Cup finalist in 2022. But Zeiad is not one to rest on his laurels. He is constantly reaching out for challenges to achieve his dreams. Focused and driven, Zeiad's next goal is to win the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, which he hopes will pave the way for a gold medal in Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
