Rising with Resilience

Omar Syed - Collection Officer

I was in my first year at Al-Azhar University when the accident happened and I now needed to rely on a wheelchair.

But despite being told that I would be limited in what I could achieve, my family always supported me, making sure that I never felt alone or different. With their encouragement, I persevered and successfully completed my education and graduated. I was blessed with the opportunity to join Mashreq, becoming a valued member of the Mashreq Global Network (MGN) team. At Mashreq, I have discovered the power of teamwork, passion, and the importance of creating meaningful connections. With the support of my manager and colleagues, I have been able to develop my career in an inclusive environment. Even though I was a newcomer, my team went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and ensure that I felt comfortable and valued. This sense of belonging has made my professional journey truly enriching, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such understanding and compassionate individuals. To anyone who has experienced a life-changing accident, I urge you to hold on to your passion and continue pursuing your aspirations. With determination and perseverance, there are no limits to what you can achieve.
