The plan is available for customers who are between the ages of 18 to 59 years, who hold a valid UAE residence visa and have a Mashreq relationship.

A spouse means the Insured Person’s legally married husband or wife between the ages of eighteen (18) and fifty-nine (59) years and is named in the Certificate of Insurance.

Please note that MetLife will NOT provide COVERAGE AND/OR PAYMENT under the Policy and/or any Supplementary Contract if the policyholder, insured, or person entitled to receive such payment is residing in any sanctioned country or claiming the payment for any services received in any sanctioned country.

A grace period of thirty (30) calendar days will be granted for the payment of each premium falling due, during which time the policy shall be continued in force, however the policy will terminate if the premium is not paid within the grace period.

Some of the exclusions under the policy are:
  • Any Critical Illness caused by or arising from or is a Pre-existing condition
  • Critical illness diagnosed within the 120 days after enrollment.
  • Critical Illness Diagnosis for which the claim is made is not the first Diagnosis of that Critical Illness and was diagnosed earlier as well.
  • Critical Illness is diagnosed after death.
  • Critical Illness is diagnosed in the presence of AIDS or HIV.

You can cancel the policy at any time. The cancellation request can be placed by calling +9714 415 4777 or by sending an email to MetLife_DtC.Gulf@metlife.ae/ and there will be no requirement to fill any form for policy cancellation.
