Send money

Send money within seconds to registered/enrolled Aani participants instantly. All you need is your contact’s UAE mobile number or email ID.

Request money

Request money from registered Aani participants. Money will be credited to your account once the receiver accepts your request.

Split bills

Split your bills among your friends or family in two ways:

By requesting payment via Aani participants: you can send a collective split bill request to your friends and family (between 2 and 20 registered Aani participants)
By generating a QR code: you can generate a QR code and your friends / family can scan the QR code from your mobile in-person to make the payment

Frequently asked questions

Aani instant payments is a Central Bank of the UAE initiative (UAEIPP, UAE Instant Payment Platform) under NPSS (National Payments Systems Strategy) to provide instant 24/7 local transfers.
Aani instant payments offers the following features:
  • Send money: Instantly transfer funds to your registered/enrolled contacts within seconds.
  • Request money: Request funds from Aani registered contacts. The amount is credited to the sender upon receiver’s acceptance of the request. You can view/manage incoming and outgoing requests under 'Active requests' in Mashreq Mobile App.
  • Split bill: Generate a QR code on your mobile device and let your friends/family scan it in person to pay their share.
  • Scan and pay: Easily scan a QR code to make payments.
  • Transaction history: View all instant payments.
No additional information is required. You just need to login to your Mashreq Mobile App and give your consent for enrolment, and upon successful enrolment by Mashreq, you will receive a confirmation via SMS/Email.
You will see a ‘green tick’ on your contact if he/she enrolled for Aani instant payments by their respective bank.
Contact/ beneficiary needs to be enrolled by their beneficiary bank for using Aani.
Mashreq customers won’t be charged for using Aani instant payments. We will update in case of any further changes.
Aani instant payments are credited instantly. To receive Aani instant payments on your Mashreq Account, please ensure that your account is set as the default account.
Follow these steps: Login to Mashreq Mobile App, go to 'Aani Instant Payments' and tap on 'Send Money'. After selecting a contact, click the 'info’ icon near the Amount field to view your daily and monthly available limits for Aani.
Once your Aani instant payment is successfully completed, the payment receipt can be downloaded or shared in two ways. 1. Go to the confirmation page > share button > You can then choose to share or download your receipt OR 2. Go to Aani instant payments > Transaction history > Select the payment > Tap on share button from 'Transaction details' screen
Default account is the account where all your incoming Aani instant payments will be credited. You can update your default bank account anytime by logging into Mashreq Mobile App and navigating to Pay > Aani instant payments > Settings.
You can unenroll from Aani in two ways: 1. Via Mashreq Mobile App: Go to ' Aani instant payments' > Settings > Tap on the ‘Unenroll from Aani’ and follow next steps. OR 1. Contact our Customer Care Team and request to be unenrolled from Aani.
Your new registered mobile number will be updated to Aani within 1 hour. Please check if it is updated in Aani settings. If not updated, please unenroll via Aani Settings and re-enrol again (Mashreq Mobile App > Pay > Aani instant payments > Proceed with enrolment popup). Upon re-enrolment, your new registered mobile number will be updated to Aani.
