In case of a premature withdrawal of Step-Up Saver, a penal rate of 0.5% is charged until 12 months, i.e., the interest applicable for the total period for which the deposit has run less applicable penalty. Post 12 months, no additional penalty would be levied on the applicable interest accrued for the total period at the time of withdrawal.
